Rights holders

Real financial options for what you’ve built.

Whether you are early in a career or holding a deep catalogue, PNAQL arranges the capital that fits. Lending, income sharing, growth finance, buy-backs and sales, set out side by side so you can choose.

Every route to capital

Most artists are offered one kind of deal, on one buyer’s terms. We set out the options that fit your situation, including ones you may not have been offered before.

  • Borrow against your catalogue.

Secured lending against your royalty income. Repay it and it’s done. Ownership stays with you throughout.

  • Share income for a period.

A defined share of defined income for a defined term, with everything reverting to you at the end.

  • Fund your growth.

Capital against your combined income, including future bookings and activity, with no equity given up.

  • Finance a tour or campaign.

Capital for a specific project, structured around the income it will generate.

  • Buy back your rights.

Use new capital to reclaim rights you have sold, from a label or a publisher.

  • Sell part of a catalogue.

Sell only what you choose, when you choose.

  • Sell outright, well.

When selling is right, reach a wider field of buyers and investors than a single offer.

  • Combine them.

Most situations need more than one. We design the mix with you.

We arrange lending and investment with institutional lenders and investors.

What a deal can look like.

  • Guitars hanging above the mixing desk and outboard racks of a recording studio.

    Capitalising a catalogue.

An artist has a catalogue earning steady royalty income and wants capital without selling. PNAQL arranges capital backed by a portion of the catalogue’s income for a defined period. The artist keeps full ownership, and when the term ends, everything reverts. The artist kept the asset and accessed the capital.

  • A crowd at a concert, singing and cheering towards the stage.

    Investing in growth.

A DJ with international momentum wants to invest in her next phase: production, collaborations and marketing. PNAQL arranges capital against her combined income, anchored by future booking fees, with no ownership traded and no equity given up. She invests in her career, and the career grows the income that secures the deal.

How we work

  1. Listen.

One confidential conversation with you and your inner circle. We learn the situation, the ambition and the timeline.

  2. Design.

We come back with options in plain language, with the trade-offs, costs and timing laid out so everyone can decide.

  3. Propose.

We work alongside your manager, lawyer and business manager until everyone is comfortable.

  4. Execute.

We arrange the capital and close the deal, then the structure runs on PNAQL infrastructure. Your team keeps steering, and you keep deciding.

We work alongside the team already around you.

Your manager, label, publisher, lawyer and business manager stay exactly where they are. PNAQL adds the one thing that has been missing: a capital and structuring partner, with institutional experience on the artist’s side of the table.

Supported by Russells (legal), Brown McLeod (accounting) and OJK (advisory).

What doesn’t change

  • Ownership stays with you.

    Unless you choose otherwise.

  • Relationships come first.

We protect the partnerships already holding a career together.

  • Every term in writing.

Set out before you sign, and reviewed by your lawyer.

  • The long view.

We think in decades, not deals.

Questions

  • Where does the money come from?

From institutional lenders and investors. We bring the right capital to the table for each situation.

  • Do I give up ownership?

Only if you choose to. Many routes, such as lending and income sharing, leave ownership entirely with you.

  • What does my team need to do?

Have one conversation with us. We design the structure and arrange the capital. Your manager keeps managing and your lawyer keeps advising.

  • What does it cost?

Costs depend on the route and are set out in full, alongside the terms, before you sign.

Let’s have a conversation.

One confidential conversation with you and the right people in the room. If there’s something that makes sense, we design it together. You decide if there’s a move: now, later, or not at all.
